Tirumala Tirupati

Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !

" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"

In this Suddhi, all the flower garlands adorned in the morning are removed and cleaned neatly by the Archaka and simultaneously, the Paricharakas will clean all the Gold Utensils used in the regular Kainkaryams( Pancha Paathralu).

After the Night Thomala Seva and Night Astottara Archana, the Night bell starts. The Potu Vaishnavas are prompted to bring Taligas for Night Bell. They bring Molahora, Small Laddu, Vada, Suddhannam, Bali Suddhannam, Thomala Dosas to keep inside the Sanctum. In the Sayana Mantapam, Pulihora (which is offered to Bedi Anjaneya Swami after the Night Bell). Kadambam are placed. And night Nivedanam is offered by the Archaka. While the big bells are rang, Naivedyams are offered by the Vaikhanasa Archaka with utmost devotion and the doors of Ramar Medai are closed during the Food offering. Since the Custom of this temple is to Close the doors, while important Kainkaryams are offered to Dhruva Bera. At this time only Archakas will remain inside and all Jeeyars, Ekangis will wait in the Bashyakar Sannidhi till the Naivedyam finishes.

Mola Hora: This is made with Rice and into it a fine powder of pepper and Ghee is mixed. Also called as ‘Miriyala Pongal’. This is the Sandhi Taliga for the Night Bell.

Thomala Dosa: This is very popular and filling. It is like a normal dosa but is very thick and crispy.

After the Night bell is over, then again ‘Tiruveesam’ Bell is offered. This is also called as ‘Nisi Rathri Nivedanam’ (Mid Night or Ardha Rathri Puja) Though it is named as Mid night ritual, according to the customs of the Tirumala temple, this is offered as soon as the night bell is over. But during Brahmotsavams, this Mid Night Ritual is offered during Ekantha Seva and the most delicious ‘Ksheerannam’ is offered in this Bell.

In this ‘Tiruveesam’ Bell, Chakkera Pongal is offered to Lord. After this bell, the same Chakkera Pongal is offered to Bhashyakar and an Archaka will offer Bali to Parivara Devathas, after which Night Sathumora is performed without any recital of Divya Prabhandams. Hence it is also called as ‘Silent Sathumora’ or ‘Mooga Sathumora’. In this ritual only Tulasi is offered by the Jeeyangar to the Archaka, who then offers it at the lotus feet of Lord Srinivasa. After this Mooga Sathumora, Theertham, Satari and Molahora prasadam is given to Jeeyar Swami and other Acharya Purushas as per the practice and order.

Now the Sarva Darsan continues till mid night and as soon as the line will close in half an hour, the Archaka is prompted for Sallimpu (Removal of Flower garlands adorned during night Thomala Seva) by the Duty officers. The Archaka will remove all flower garlands and will clean up all the left overs near the lotus feet of the Lord, with a cotton towel. For cleaning near the Lord’s idol, the brooms are not used instead a clean ‘Madi’ Cotton cloth is used for this purpose. This is also called as ‘Suddhi Vastram’.
