Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !
" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"
And as soon as the Sarva Darsan line finishes, the night duty special officers and Sannidhi duty Staff are given a Circar Harathi with Theertham and Satari to follow. Then the Sanctum Curtains are drawn and all other staff will leave the place and wait near the Snapana Mantapam. Now only Archakas, Ekangi, Paricharaka and Sannidhi Golla stays in the Sayana Mantapam. They will make arrangements for the Ekantha Seva, the days final ritual. A Silk Bed is put on a Gold Swing in the Sayana Mantapam. Inside the Sanctum, the Archaka will place Chandanam at the Lotus feet of Lord Srinivasa and then at the lotus feet of Goddess Mahalakshmi situated at the chest of Lord Srinivasa. After this in the 5 Golden Vessels used for daily Aradhana, the Brahma Theertham is poured by the Archaka(which is set aside in the morning Thomala Seva) and it is believed that in the night after everybody is left this theertham is used by Lord Brahma and other Devathas for Worshipping Lord Venkateswara. This Theertham is given to Devotees in the Morning Suprabhatham.
After this the Prasadam is offered by the Archaka. The night Ekantha Seva prasadam includes in a Silver vessel, a mixture of Cashew Nuts, Badam, Raisins, Sugar cubes, Different Fruits neatly chopped, Tamboolam (Containing Betel Leaves and Betel Nuts) and Cow Milk finely Warmed (It is almost like a Basundhi after warming). All these prasadams are part of Upacharams for the Paryankasanam (or Ekantha Seva) as ordained by Vaikhanasa Bhagavachhastram. Now the doors of Ramar Medai are closed and all other Staff wait outside, while the Archaka, sprinkles celestial water on the bed for Suddhi and places Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy on the bed and offers prayers.
Then the power is drawn back to the Mulavirat (which are drawn from the Mulavirat in the morning Thomala Seva during ‘Bhu Suddhi’ to all the 5 idols of Lord Venkateswara namely Dhruva Bera, Bhoga Murthy, Utsava Murthy, Ugra Murthy anf Koluvu Murthy). After opening the doors, Muthyala Harathi (in memory of great devotee Tarigonda Vengamamba) is performed, while a descendant of Tallapakam Annamacharya sings ‘Jola Paatalu’. Then the milk is given to Ekangi, Tallapakam and other Staff.
Now the Archaka and Ekangi alone return to the Sanctum and the Vaikhanasa Archaka thoroughly checks all the items and vessels (It is the sole responsibility of Archakas to make sure that nothing is misplaced and they are in order) in the sanctum before closing the doors. (this process is called ‘Saabooth’, a hindi word which means ‘Everything is Alright’). Now the lamps are putoff in the sanctum and Sayana Mantapam by Ekangi and the Archaka will take the temple Keys called ‘Kunche Kola’, And the Archaka has to make sure that the lamps are perfectly put off and that a single sparkle is left. Since after closing the doors it may lead to fire accidents. So to check perfectly all the lamps are putoff and it is like a blind man searching for something(And Archakas duty is to search if there are any remains of lamps).
