Q .: What is the significance of the stone which is at the prakaram of Narasimha swami gudi at the main prakaram at Thirumala.
Ans .: Parimalapu Ara or Parimala Stone is mainly used to make the Pachha Karpooram granules in to a fine powder. This powdered Pachha Karpooram is used to draw the Namam and to stick the Gaddam Bottu. Every Thursday Evening the Paricharakas will do this Job. This Stone is located in the circumbulance path of Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy Sannidhi.
Q .: I always wonder what people write on this stone & why do they write?
Ans .: People think that by writing their Names and Wishes on this Stone, will leed to fulfilment of their desires, Since the Pachha Karpooram, which is grinded in to fine powder on this stone, is directly adorned as Namam on Mulavirat's forehead.
Q .: What is the significance of the Golden well at the temple?
Ans .: Golden Well or Bangaru Bavi is an incarnation of Sri Devi or Goddess Lakshmi. The Water for Mulavirat's Friday Abhishekam and daily Aradhanam (I Thomala Seva) is drawn from this well. So it is also called as 'srI' Theertham. There is also one 'bhU' Theertham, which is an incarnation of Goddess Padmavathi or Bhudevi. It is located near Vagapadi and once it is used to drop/dump the flower garlands which are adorned and removed from Mulavirat (Nirmaalyams).
