Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !
" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"
Nakshatra slokams as per Vishnu Sahastranamam
With holy blessings of Sri. Ramakrishna Deekshitulu swamy, I would like to share some knowledge about Sri Vishnu Sahastranamam. In a popular Kannada channel, these details are being told every day. But to note it down or to call back missed episodes are very difficult. So I would like to script down all the known facts about the composition of Sri Vishnu Sahastra namam.
All our Acharyas, Sastras, Puranas always highlighted the ever powerful Sri Vishnusahasranaama Stothram. It is declared that the 108 slokas of Sri Vishnusahasranaama Stothram removes all the ills associated with any grahadoshams to anyone who chants irrespective of their Nakshatram (Stars viz. constellations) and provides supreme solace and supreme bliss. There are 27 Nakshatrams starting from Aswini and ending with Revati. Each Nakshatram has four Padams. Thus 108 slokhas correspond to 27 X 4 nakshatra padams. Thus a person born in Aswini 1st padam can chant first slokha, Bharani 1st padams can chant 5th slokha and so on for respective Nakshatra Saanthi. A person not sure of one's Nakshatra can chant all the 108 slokhas and get rid of all ills associated with one's Nakshatram and attain sampoorna saanthi.
Its very good to chant the corresponding slokam of your nakshatram 28 or 108 times daily. However the complete parayanam is most recommonded.
Slokams as per nakshatrams are given in each postings. Kindly make a note of each and be blessed by the Lord of 7 hills.
