Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !
" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"
(22. Ans .: Contd...) The five forms are Vishnu representing the main deity (Dhruva Bera or Mulavirat) in the sanctum, Purusha (represented by the Kautuka bera), Satya (Utsava bera or Malayappa Swamy), Achyutha (Snapana bera or Ugra Srinivasa Murthy), and Aniruddha (Bali bera or Koluvu Srinivasa Murthy). apart from the Dhruva bera, the other four forms symbolize the great aspects of Vishnu called Vishnu, Maha Vishnu, Sada Vishnu, Vyapi narayana.
The Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy is actually connected to the Mulavirat with 'Sambandha Koorcha' made with 32 darbhas. This is the case whrn Bhoga Murhty is close to the Mulavirat and whenever the Bhoga Srinivasa Murhty is brought out for Sahasra Kalasabhishekam he is then connected with a silk thread for Anusandhanam.
The Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy Tilak is nothing but a paste of Chandan, Saffron, refined camphor usually red in colour.
23. Q.: I have watched TV9 at 9 PM on Sunday i.e., 9 Feb 2008. In this News channel they have claimed to have the original video of lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and they have telecasted the same. i request you to kindly throw some light on this.
Ans .: The video that is telecasted in Tv9 saying that it was picturised inside the Balaji Temple, Tirumala Hills is only partially true. Actually this video is picturised by TTD officially and after observing the video my inference is that the visuals that is being shoot upto Bangaruvakili(the enclosure which contain the Dwarapalakas, big bells etc) is original i.e. they were shoot in the main Temple at Tirumala Hills, but after that all the scenes showing the Lord Balaji's mulavirat are shot in a Studio (Saradhi Studios, Hyderabad) in a set that is made from instructions and guidance from the Archakas,Temple Officials at that time. If u carefully observe the Mulavirat scenes the space shown in Garbhalayam is more in this video. Also the two lamps(or Deepams) which are hanging on both the sides , they are containing more lamps than the original (In the garbhalayam only four lamps are lit in each deepam hanging on both the sides).
24. Q .: (1) how is chandra grahanam and surya grahanam celebrated at tirumala?
Ans. : During Chandra Grahanam and Surya Grahanam the temple remains closed for 8 and 10 hours respectively before the start of the eclipse. And after the eclipse is over, the entire temple is cleaned with water (pedda suddi) and in the sanctum a ritual called Punyahavaachanam is performed by invoking different adhidevathas in a Kalasam and after that sprinkling it in the temple all along.
(2) who all receive the thirumanajanam on wednesday along with BHOGA SREENIVASA's sahasrakalashabhishekam?
During Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, the Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy is placed facing east in a simhasanam which is kept in between Dwarapalakas at Bangaruvakili and he is connected to the Mulavirat with a silk thread. And the Malayappa Swamy with consorts are placed to the right of Bhoga Murthy facing North and Senadhipati or Viswaksena is placed to the left of Bhoga murthy facing south, and next to the Viswaksena the pradhana Kumbham is placed. Thirumanjanam is performed simultaneously to all the deities.
