While the Malayappa Swamy and the consorts are taken out for procession around four mada streets, daily for these 40 days, there will be some changes in the way the procession go on. Up to the Vayavya Corner (North-West) the procession will go on with the usual Melam normally and upon entering the North Mada Street the Lord will complete procession in the North Mada street completely without Melam and instead of Melam the ghoshti will start from here the Divya Prabhanda recitals, then at the Eesanya Corner, after offering the Harathi, the ghoshti will be given Satari, then the Melam Staff will play 'Chinna Melam' without the Dolu and other accompaniments, after a short while, the Melam will be over after playing a few Kritis, then a descendant of Annamayya now will sing a few Kirthanas till the Lord reaches the Ratham, and Annamayya descendant is honored with Satari. Now the Lord will complete the procession with Kumbha Harathi and then enter the temple.
