Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !
" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"
Visesha Puja is called as Chaturdasa(14) Kalasa Snapanam, Vasantotsavam (Annual and daily) is Eka Kalasa Snapanam, Brahmotsava Snapanam is also Eka Kalasa Snapanam, Sahasra Kalasa Snapanam uses 1008 pots. And also the procedure is seperate for each and every Snapanams, depending on the number of Pots used.
There are different types of Snapanams suggested by the Vaikhanasa texts, principally they fall into two categories like Kshudram and Bhadram, among this the number of Snapanams prescribed by the texts is due to the fact that its not easy to perform a Snapana Tirumanjanam in all the temples, just like in Tirumala (which includes very costly Dravyams and the Vaidika Staff (Archakas, Jeeyars, Ekangis, Paricharakas, to do all works), since the dravyams may be costly and the Yajamani may be not in a position to procure them due to finance constraints.
So depending on the availability of Dravyams we can chose from the different types of Snapanams like Uttamottamam, Uttama Madhyamam, Uttama Adhamam, Madhyamottmam, Madhyama Madhyamam, Madhyama Adhamam, Adhamamuttamam, Adhama Madhyamam, Adhamaadhamam.
Uttama Adhamam will become Madhyama Uttamam, and in the same way Madhyama Adhamam will become as Adhama Uttamam. If its available always Uttamottamam is the best one to chose.
136 Q .: swami can u explain me the formation of tulasiaakshas formed from tulasi tree swami. where will we get the original tulasiaakshas in andhra pradesh swami.
Ans .: The Tulasi beads are made from a Tulasi plant which has grown up and has a thick stem. These beads are made out of the Stem and are used in making Tulasi Malas.
You can also make these beads out of the Tulasi plant in your own house in the backyard, provided its stem must be thick.
137 Q .: As mentioned by you Swamy, The photo which has gained popularity as picturised in Srivari Temple, Tirumala is actually photographed at Saradhi Studios, Hyderabad for the movie.
My question is, the vedio which recently came out,,in that clip-the Srivari Murthy is completly different, which is saying it was original taken by TTD.
Ans .: If you carefully observe the picture and take a closer look at the Kati Hastham(left hand) of the Mulavirat, Here we observe that the left hand and wrist is having a single Kavacham, which is not the thing in the original sanctum.
In the Sanctum at the Tirumala temple, the Mulavirat Kati Hastham has a seperate Kavacham for the left hand alone and the other Kavachams which cover the wrist and elbow are seperate ones. So from this it can be easily said that this picute is definitely taken in a Set.
Also in the original Video TTD has mixed the picture / Video footage of Mulavirat with Actual temples Video of Bangau Vakili, So everybody gets confused if its the original video.
Till now never in the history of Tirumala temple one has taken a Video or Photograph of Mulavirat, and it will be the same in future also.
