Welcome to Adiyen Sri Ramanuja Dasan !
" Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha !"
The actual day to day Aradhana is performed to the Pradhana Kumbham in Yagasala, where the Cosmic energy of Lord is said to be stored, as well as, the Mulavirat in the Sanctum. Since HE is so powerful and is a direct manifestation of Lord Vishnu as Archavathara in Srinivasa form, even after the Kalakarshana, the Mulavirat Sannidhi functions as usual, just like how the normal Aradhana goes to Mulavirat regularly. The regular Thomala Seva in the Pratahkalam, Madhyahnikam and Sayankalam goes as usual, with all the regular staff minus the Adhyapakas( Those who recite the Divya Prabhandam during Thomala Seva). Since the Lord stays in the Kumbham, the Prabhanda Seva Kalam is in the Yagasala, here in the sanctum the usual Aradhana is performed without the recitation of Divya Prabhandam. Archaka, Ekangi alone will be there while performing the Aradhana during Asta Bandhana Maha Samprokshana.
Even after the Kalakarshanam is performed, there will be regular Darsan in the Sanctum as usual plus the Kumbha Darsanam for all the devotees. Only on the day of Maha Samprokshana, for 1 full day the darsan will be closed in the original sanctum. (After Maha Santhi Tirumanjanam on 4th day evening to the actual Samprokshana Muhurtham on the 5th day Morning). Till the Maha Santhi Tirumanjanam the normal day to day darsan will go on as usual without any arjitha Seva's to Mulavirat. (means there will be no participation Sevas(like Thomala, Archana etc.) for all these 5 days by devotees).
132 Q .: The evening aradhanam does not begin without all utsavars in the sanctum, will the evening aradhanam finish before SRI MALAYAPPA SWAMY VARU comes out for evening Garuda seva...
Ans .: In any case, only after Malayappa Swamy return to Sanctum, the regular worship takes place daily, except during Brahmotsavams. In Brahmotsavams, Lord Malayappa Swamy comes out after the evening Aradhana (Thomala Seva). And after returning to temple there will be a special Nivedana in the night Ekantha Seva and the Naivedyam offered is the delicious 'Ksheerannam'.
133 Q .: why is that "people shouldnt wear flowers at tirumala"?. Any history behind it?
Ans .: Venkatachalam hills is considered as most sacred, made up of salagrama stones and brahmandapuranam / venkatachala mahatyam says that its a part of sreevaikuntam itself called kreedadri, which was brought down to earth by garuda and kept in tirumala. hence whatever is avilable on the hills is considered very sacred and is only available for the service of the lord only. flowers are no exception to this. all the flowers available on the hills are meant only for lord and hence we human beings should not use it for our own purposes.
Moreover tirumala is called pushpa mantapam, thats why bagavad ramanujacharya's desciple sree ananthalwan built beautiful flower gardens and offered theose flowers full of fragrance and beauty to lord srinivasa.
Bagavad ramanuja, when he visited tirumala (about 950 years back), knowing the greatness of the hills and their sacredity, he claimbed the hills on his knees as he considered, putting his feet on those sacred hills will be a great sin.
Also, since ages, many of our poorvikas beleived that ventakachalam hills are so sacred, that they should not spit, pass urine, etc... on it and hence climb the hills on strict fasting only.
