This theertha is called as ‘Tumburu Theertham’ , ‘Tumba Theertham’ and ‘ Ghona Theertham’.
On the day of Mukkoti, After the Madhyahnika Aradhanam in the Tirumala temple, Archakas, Paricharakas, Vedaparyanadars, and temple officials will start to this theertham. After reaching there they all take a holy dip in that theertham and perform rituals to the Tumburu idol present in the theertham, and offer special Naivedyams brought from the sanctum and is distributed to all the devotees assembled there.
It is said that those who bathe in this sacred theertham will get the benefit of clearing all of their Sins which even dont have Prayaschittams.

126 Q .: Where does Sri Malayappa swami (Utsavar) retire for the night? Is he taken back to the Garbagragam? Also where is His aastanam? (The place where He is usualy and positioned & seen)
Ans .: Lord Malayappa Swamy will be placed in the Sanctum in the Simhasanam which is to the right side of the Dhruva Beram (Mulavirat) every day without fail, till he returns to the Sanctum in the evening, the evening Tiruvaradhanam will not start. The rule is as soon as the aradhanam starts, all the Pancha Beras must be at a single place i.e. in the Sanctum at their respective places.
Lord Malayappy Swamy’s daily schedule will be like this After the Pratah Kala Aradhanam and Madhyahnika Aradhanam (at around 9 – 9:30 AM usually), Lord Malayappan will be brought to the Kalyana Mantapam, which is present in the Sampangi Prakaram or the Second Prakaram (to the right of the Dwajasthambham). Then He will stay there till the completion of the regular Kalyanotsavam until 1:30 AM. From there He will now taken to the Aiyna Mahal or Addala Mandapam (A Square Hall/ Mantapam, where all the Walls, Ceiling are fixed with designer Mirrors and in the centre there will be a Swing on which the Malayappa Swamy is seated with Consorts), where the Dolotsavam festival takes place up to 2:30 PM. Then from there He is taken to Vaibhavotsava Mantapam, where the regular Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Arjitha Vasantotsavam Sevas are performed till 3:45 PM. From 3:45 PM – 5:15 PM, Lord Malayappa Swamy rests in this Mantapam, then by 5:15 Pm He will be taken to Unjal Mandapam, where the regular Sahasra Deepalankara Seva is performed till 6:10 PM. Now there will be procession around four mada streets including Pushkarini Harathi in the East Mada Street till 7 PM. Now He will enter the temple and straightly taken to Sanctum before which He is offered with ‘Seera Thaliga’ (or Rava Kesari/Kesari Bath) at Bangaru Vakili.
