Ans .: There is no ritualistic relationship between Kolhapur Lakshmi temple and Tirumala Venkateswara temple, the Tirumala temple follows Vaikhanasa mode ( which is very ancient among all Agamas) of Worship from the start of the temple, whereas the Kolhapur Lakshmi temple follow some other mode.

Ans .: Lord Srinivasa will never be in seperation with Goddess Padmavathi and Goddess Lakshmi, they always reside in the Chest of Lord. The seperation, which we feel physically, is not for Lord Venkateswara. The Tiruchanur Padmavathi temple is constucted in memory of Goddess Padmavathi, who appeared in the Padma Sarovaram, to Lord Srinivasa, after HE did severe penance for 12 years. This is called Veera Lakshmi mode of Worship to the Consort Bhudevi/Lakshmi according to Vaikhanasa Samhithas.
117. Q .: Has the kavacham covering Sanku-Chakram of the moolavar been ever replaced? Also, the pair kept in the sannidhi at Tirumukkoodal which was originally from Tirumala Sri Vari sannidhi is made of silver, and I believe the current pair in Tirumala is made of Gold. Is there a protocol in making the kavacham or any of the Pancha-lohas or its combination will do?
Ans .: The Kavachams, which are present in the upper hands of Lord Srinivasa, are never replaced in the entire history of Tirumala temple. Infact it is a great apacharam to think so, as the ancestors ordered that it should be as it is and no thoughts of replacements or adjustments are not advisable.
The Current Pair is made of Gold and usually the Samhithas prescribe that the first Choice will be the Gold, if not Silver, if not Copper(Panchaloha), then Mud is the last Choice.
