103. Q .: Yes swamy. i visited the govindarajan temple at chidambaram 2 years ago. The lord is exactly same is in tirupati. The utsava moorthys in chidambaram are known as parthasarathy who is in veetrirundha thirukolam ( sitting posture ). But is the utsavar in tirupati also known by the same name?. the chidambaram utsavar and moolavar have the thenkalai thiruman on their foreheads but whereas at tirupati the moolavar has a vadakalai thiruman and the utsavar has kasturi thilakam..any reason for this? does the alwar pasurams sung on thillai govindarajan apply to tirupati govindarajan??..also...is the govindaraja temple at tirupati considered a divyadesam?
Ans .: The utsava murthy here is called 'Govindarajan' only. As this temple is consecrated by the Vaikhanasa Archakas of Tirumala, they adapted the same practice of tiruman kept for Malayappa Swamy and as such Govindarajan utsavar also has the same tiruman as Malayappan.
The Alwar Pasurams which r sung in Tirumala Shrine during Thomala seva and during different utsavams, the same convention of reciting is followed at Govindaraja shrine too. As both of the temples, Jeeyar Swamy, Adhyapakas are same, so same practice of recitation is observed in tirupati also.
104. Q .: Swami can tulabharam be offered by all devotees(no matter of age na)?
Ans .: Tulabharam can be offered by any one irrespective of their age. As u know one of the Vijayanagar rulers has offered Gold weighing to the weight of that king, and that gold is used for covering work of Ananda Nilayam.
The items that are used for Tulabharam also is of devotees wish and choice, most popular vows of Tulabharam items are Silver, Gold, Banana's, Jaggery, Kalakhanda (or sugar candy), fruits, grains, rice, salt, coins (coins are available with the TTD authorities, no need to worry abt them), etc. The required item (other than coins) are collected by the devotee and he has to make his own arrangements to carry the same in to the temple Padi kavali, where the Tulabharam is situated (immediately to the left after crossing Mahadwaram). These items are allowed inside directly thru' Mahadwaram after scrutiny by Security ppl.
104. Q .: Its very nice tat info about the grahanam and the timings of darshanam is posted in the website.i have the following queries regarding tha same.
(1) is the temple generally closed for almost 8 hrs during surya grahanam ?
Ans .: The temple is completely closed during the Grahanam and all the main doors are locked and sealed. usually the temple remains closed for 2 1/2 yaamas(1 yaama = 3hrs) before the grahanams.
(2) no one stays inside the temple is it ?
Ans .: No one will be present inside and the temple is completely empty. Only the Security personal will be present near Mahadwaram.
