108 Divya Desams
Divya desams or diva tirupathigal are those places where the mystic srivaishnava saints called Alwars visited and did mangalasasanams (glorifying the lord in the form of their paasurams). hence these 108 places on barathavarsha become very important pilgrimage places of the lord. thse includes the 8 swayam vyakta (self manifested) kshetrams also, viz, Sreerangam, sreemushnam, tiruvengadam, ahobilam, naimishranyam, prayagam, dwaraka, etc....
Out of these 108 divyadesams, three divya desams are of prime importance to srivaishnavas, since the Rahasyatraya mantras are associated with these divya desams. they are.
1. SREE RANGAM - Sree Ranganayaki sametha sree Ranganathar in shayana tirukkolam - stands for Ashtaakshari Mantram - with PRavaakruti(pranavam = aum = Om) vimaanam.
2. KANCHIPURAM - Sree Perundevi Sametha Sree Varada raja swamy in Nindra tirukkolam - stands for Dwaya mantram with Punyakoti Vimaanam.

3. TIRUMALAI-TIRUPATI - Sree Alamelmanga thayar sametha, sree Tiruvenkatamudayan in nindra tirukkolam(kati hastam) - stands for Charama slokam,with Ananda nilaya vimaanam.
thats why the prime acharyas of sreevaishnava sampradayam such as Swami ramanujar, sree vedanta desikar and manavala maamugal, have prayed to the lord for un-inturrupted devotional service to be continued in these divyadesams through out this kaliyuga.
